HONDA US OPEN OF SURFING EVENT

I created several ads for Surfing publications.
Here are a few “The Fit is Go!” ads as well as some
“Element and Friends” ads.

OBJECTIVE & RESULTS

Position Honda vehicles as the vehicles for action sports enthusiasts by maximizing exposure as the title sponsor of the Honda US Open of Surfing event and engaging consumers at the “Honda Beach Camp”
on-site.

We designed and created the “Honda Beach Camp,” a Polynesian environment filled with Honda vehicles surrounded by Palapas huts. Activities included a drum circle & dancing, free airbrush tatoos, premium distribution & sweepstake giveaways, athlete autograph sessions and data collection.

  • Reached over 350,000 event attendees

  • Over 80 million impressions through media coverage

  • Re-enforced Honda’s brand image towards the marketing-savvy audience.

  • Success from this event led Honda to continue their title sponsorship of The US Open of Surfing
